Pastor Profile:
Tom Schmidt

Tom Schmidt is the pastor of Cross of Christ Fellowship. He is married to Rachel and they have four children.

Tom grew up in Montana and Nevada, and has a background in music education. After teaching music in the middle school and high school setting in Las Vegas, he sensed a calling into vocational ministry and moved to Illinois to complete a formal theological education at Wheaton College Graduate School (MA in Biblical Exegesis and MA in Historical and Systematic Theology) and pastoral training with ordination at Redeemer Fellowship in St. Charles, IL . Now, he and his wife live in Naperville and are part of the local community.

Tom loves talking to non-Christians about Jesus and helping believers grow in their faith. When he is not busy with the work of pastoral ministry, he enjoys spending time with his family,  writing music, and reading books.

He sometimes blogs here. Along with his blogging, he has written a couple of longer pieces including “Living as a Christian in Naperville” and "A Christian Thought Life." If you would like to hear how Tom became a Christian while he was a college student you can watch this video.
